Jason McBride started McGrafix.com in 2003. He saw an opportunity to help small businesses achieve a professional web presence similar to big companies but without the big company price.
Starting McGrafix was also a cathartic experience for Jason. A serious motor racing accident had left Jason unable to work in his then chosen career. Forced to retrain and explore new career paths, he discovered that web development gave him the flexibility to both work and manage the injury he had sustained.
As more and more businesses beat a path to Jason’s door, McGrafix quickly grew to the point that the company now occupies a business suite on Carlton Corner and employs 7 staff.
It’s the “can do” attitude that really sets McGrafix apart from other website companies. McGrafix offers unique and high impact site designs. To do this, the company employs a full time graphic designer and a team of web developers and programmers who are driven to look for new and better ways to achieve the client’s desired result.
At McGrafix, we understand we are part of a bigger community. That’s why we help community organisations and Churches maintain a web presence so they can expand their horizons through the internet. Much of this work is either heavily discounted or where possible, free.
"Our aim is to provide our clients with the best web based solution possible within the parameters given. We are proud of our customers and enjoy the relationship we share with them" - Jason McBride, McGrafix.com
Jason believes in good work and life balance. The company observes a 9 day working fortnight. Wednesday mornings are dedicated to new research and development or a personal project and Wednesday afternoon; to golf. Work should be fun and something that gets you out of bed. At McGrafix, website design and development is what gets us out of bed.
